Auto-rostering

Auto-rostering fills unassigned shifts in an existing roster. It is a reviewable starting point, not a published result or a replacement for manager judgement. You need the Can edit rosters permission.

  1. Open Admin, then Rosters.
  2. Select Edit beside an unpublished roster that already contains shifts.
  3. Check the issue indicator so you know which shifts are unassigned or have no available users.
  4. Select Auto-roster to auto-fill unassigned shifts.
  5. Review every assignment against the displayed availability, role, leave and estimated cost information.
  6. Select individual shifts to correct assignments or leave them unassigned.
  7. Return to Rosters and select Publish only after the result is ready.

Weekli updates the draft roster; it does not publish it. If you want the narrower option, Fill single-available fills shifts where only one user is available. Delete unassigned removes all remaining unassigned shifts, so inspect them before using it.
